Villages Hiking Group

We will hike at Baseline Trailhead – northeast on the Florida Trail to the Marshall Swamp sign. This will be an out and back for 5.0 miles.

HIKE LOCATION: Baseline Road Trailhead

CAR POOL LOCATION: Mulberry Rec Center – CR 42 & Buena Vista (near postal hut/opposite of courts)
DEPARTURE TIME: 7:30 am at Mulberry Rec Center (please arrive 15 minutes before departure time)
Hike will begin at 8:15 am
RETURN TIME: 11:30 am (at Mulberry)
WHAT TO BRING: 2 quarts water, hat, bug spray, snack
FACILITIES: Yes Bathroom facilities at TH
TRAIL CONDITIONS: Dry, some tree roots and an area of grass, mostly shaded
COMPENSATE DRIVER OF CAR POOL: $3-4 is suggested

DIRECTIONS: 4255 SE 58th Ave., Ocala; GPS 29.141592 -82.052919; US 27/441 north; turn right at light for SE Baseline Rd (FL 35); go 6.6 miles just past 464, and turn right into Baseline Road Park.
