Highlanders Chapter of the Florida Trail Association

We assist the Florida Trail Association in its goals to build and maintain hiking trails across the state of Florida, while providing educational and recreational opportunities for our members and the public that inspire others to care for our diverse natural spaces.

Our work spans Lake, Marion, & Sumter county and our trail section is between the Bear Pond section of the Seminole State Forest to Highway 40 in the Ocala National Forest. More information, such as coordinates can be found on our About Us Page.

We have numerous events throughout the year ranging from fun social events, trail maintenance, educational classes/session, hikes, backpacking, and more! To see what we've been up to and what we have planned, visit our Events page.
